After completing college at the University of Arizona, I attended dental school in Portland, Oregon. I remained at the Oregon Health Sciences University
where I completed a residency in periodontology and training in anesthesia.
In 2001, I retired from periodontics and now maintain a private practice in anesthesia for dentistry in Arizona.
I have academic appointments at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California, , The Oregon Health & Science University, School of Dentistry and the University of Alberta. Also, I am the assistant director of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD), Arizona Region and an attending in anesthesia at the AEGD, graduate pediatric dental residency and dental anesthesia residency programs in Arizona, sponsored by Lutheran Medical Center.
For a number of years. I have taught certification courses in parenteral moderate sedation. For the Oregon course, I’m the course director.
A number of times per year I have the opportunity to attend trips with the Flying Samaritans.
In my free time I’m a part-time flight instructor, holding CFI*, CFII** & MEI*** certificates.
